Tinashe Blanchet (@mrsblanchetnet) is a math teacher at John Ehret High School in Marrero, Louisiana.  She lives in the Greater New Orleans area with her husband, David, and 3 young children. Presentation Title/Description: Teaching in a Messy Classroom: The role of design in virtual learning spaces

Whether you have a blog, wiki, Moodle or Blackboard, as an educator, you are creating an online classroom for your students or peers. Would you teach in a messy classroom? How does your website look? Is it well-organized, user-friendly and aesthetically pleasing? Is it cluttered? Do users complain about not being able to find needed information? This session will delve into the role of design in virtual learning spaces. Research-based strategies for de-cluttering your class website will be shared and discussed.
