Cecilia Lemos is from Recife, PE, Brazil. She has been an EFL teacher for the past 17 years. She teaches at ABA (Associacao Brasil America), a Binational center in Recife. She has presented at regional, national and international ELT conferences, as well as conducted some in-house training sessions . Her areas of interest are assessment, feedback and writing. She has recently won the Edublog Awards as best new blog at the 2010 Edublog Awards for her Box of Chocolates.

We’ll take a look at different types of alternative assessment we can use with students, the benefits and difficulties of them. I’ll show the successful experience with electronic portfolios as sole assessment tool in my school and give ideas on how you can take the alternative route. (UTC-3)
