Russ Goerend is a second-career teacher. His first career was going to college. It didn’t pay nearly as well as his current one. 6 1/2 years later, here he is. Russ earned a B.A. in Communication Arts from Wartburg College in 4 years, but embraced his passion too late to finish an education degree there. As soon as Russ graduated, he started at the University of Northern Iowa in their Second B.A. program.
Russ teaches 6th Grade Language Arts and Social Studies at Waukee Middle School in Waukee, Iowa. You can find his classroom blog at MrGoerend.com.
